Officials decided to delve into the situation that caused the suspicion and asked the woman right here if everything was in order or if nothing had disappeared. For a few moments it was difficult to communicate with the woman, she was as if psychologically affected, she spoke incoherently. But she immediately noticed that 120 euros had disappeared from her handbag.

The victim recalled that she had been persuaded by a Roma woman, saying she could foretell the future and free her from the curse she had already done. The “prophet” asked for 10 euros for it. Later, she was as if hypnotized, she remembers everything like through a fog, only remembering that before saying goodbye, the sorcerer said, “The money will come back to you at six o’clock, don’t tell anyone about it.” While some officers from the Criminal Police Investigation Board provided assistance and attempted to “revive” the victim’s memory, others detained the sorcerer. This is a 51-year-old resident of Eišiškės, who was found to have kidnapped 120 euros from a woman in the Town Hall Square. She did not deny having taken that amount of money from the woman’s handbag. A pre-trial investigation has been launched.
